MS BIKE TOUR

To all of those wonderful people who supported the MS ride this year by donating through Team Woodcock,

The ride is done, we had over 600 riders register online and over 500 take to the road on Saturday for a not so fun 85 km ride to Gimli. It was 10 c, with 40 km winds from the west so for the west sections it was GLORIOUS ! with speeds up to 38 km/hour just gliding on a long downhill slop. But the wind shifted from the northwest and made the north roads harder. Many times the cross wind gusts hit so hard I thought it was going to blow the wheels right out from under me with the way my bike was already leaning. With the day behind us and put into perspective it was far better than battling the 60km head winds we had all the way home day 2 last year and they were both a walk in the park compared to the difficulties faced by those afflicted with MS and those lives are affected by MS. So far this Stonewall to Gimli ride has raised $400,000

P.S. one of our team is only 10 years old and he and his mother finished both days and they were not the last to come in. Way to go Gareth!

As a result of you support Team Woodcock is at this time the 4^th highest fundraising team for Biking to the Viking and we can keep this number growing until September 5^th.
